The new complex replaced an outdated facility with a state-of-the-art YMCA healthy living facility.  Located on a five acre site close to the Falls Mall the design included the overall site development with a 300 vehicle parking lot and queuing lanes for after school drop-off and pick-up. The two-story main building has a curved expanse of glazing overlooking the adjacent street and showcasing the upper floor wellness areas.  Also on the upper floor there are two flexible fitness studios, stretching areas, storage, mini-lockers, trainer’s office, and related areas.  The main floor includes a two-court gymnasium, two multi-purpose meeting rooms, administrative offices, facilities for childcare, as well as member locker and family rooms. The double height lounge links the two floors with a vertical Donor wall and overlooks the future outdoor aquatics complex which will include an integrated lap and recreational pool and 4,000 square foot support building.
